Please understand that I have decided against uploading samples of these stories on my website because I don't want my work to be stolen by AI to eventually replace me in my job and passion. I will, however, happily provide you with samples if you contact me via email.
The New Woking Files is a non-linear, interactive, character-driven cosmic horror story inspired by works like Jeff Vandermeer’s Annihilation and the SCP Foundation. The reader will access the files of a highly classified case and find out what happened to five individuals that were admitted to the psychiatric hospital of the fictitious city New Woking, MA, and then died under mysterious circumstances after a massive power blackout.
The Angel in the Marble is a weird fiction short story inspired by a quote from Michelangelo Buonarotti: “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” Under pressure from the managing director of a world breaking corporation, the protagonist begins to feel remorse for the implications of the job they had considered their passion.
Tales from the Red Globe will be a collection of science fiction short stories set in a not so distant future where humanity has emigrated to Mars. The short stories each deal with questions of societal structures, laws, and morality in a world driven by need and practicality, inspired by works such as Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.
The Age of Smoke and Storm is another ongoing side project of mine, a novel set in a dark fantasy world with a complex lore. The story follows Pin, a human from a remote mountain region, who is forced to leave his surroundings after being accused of murder and sorcery, only to be entangled in a web of political and supernatural conflicts that turn out far bigger than he could ever have imagined.
B.A. Literature, Art, and Media Studies, 2017-2021, average grade of 1.2 in German grading system (very good with distinction)
Bachelor Thesis: Playing Ecology. Exploring the Educational Potential of Eco (graded 1.0 in German grading system)
Researched eco-criticism and sustainability in video games and the potential of games to serve as a medium of education, using Jane McGonigal's Reality is Broken (2012) as main reference for argumentation and Strange Loop Games's Eco as an example game.
